Ursula Augsdörfer is head of the group of Intelligent Geometry and Simulation at TU Graz. She has a strong foundation in mathematics and her main areas of research are the understanding and representation of high-quality shapes physical simulations and novel interaction techniques.
After her studies in Mathematics at TU Berlin and a Master in Signal and Image processing and a doctorate at De Montfort University Leicester she held several research positions, including at the University of Birmingham’s Centre for Radiation, and the Computer Laboratory at University of Cambridge. She regularly acts as a reviewer on various international journals and conference (like CAGD, Computational and Applied Mathematics, IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, Computer Graphics Forum, SIGGRAPH, Eurographics, Symposium on Geometry Processing). She currently serves as a associate editor for the Journal Computer & Graphics and is member of the Eurographics
