Michael Anderson is a PhD student at the Institute of Visual Computing, supervised by Dieter Schmalstieg and Alexander Plopski. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering (2017) and his Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (2023) from Iowa State University. During this time, he also gained industry experience at Collins Aerospace and DEPT. His current research focuses on extended reality (XR) interfaces, human-computer interaction, and social computing.
