I finished my PhD in Information Science at the Takemura Laboratory, University of Osaka, Japan, in 2016 under the guidance of Prof. Kiyoshi Kiyokawa and Prof. Haruo Takemura. In April 2016, I started as a PostDoctoral Fellow at the Interactive Media Design Laboratory at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan, where I later became an Assistant Professor. I was a visiting research fellow at the Computer Aided Medical Procedures laboratory at the Johns Hopkins University, USA, in 2017 and the Kitani Laboratory and the Human and Robot Partners Laboratory at the Carnegie Mellon University, USA, in 2018. From December 2019 till January 2022, I was a PostDoctoral Fellow at the HCI Group at the University of Otago, New Zealand, where I worked with Assoc. Prof. Tobias Langlotz and Prof. Holger Regenbrecht. I joined TU Graz in May 2022 as a PostDoctoral Fellow, and became an Assistant Professor in March 2023.
