Ingmar Lercher

Dipl.-Ing. BSc

Ingmar Lercher earned his Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at Graz University of Technology in 2024. He worked as a student assistant to complete his Master’s thesis at the Institute of Visual Computing on heart arrhythmia detection from PPG signals.

After graduation he joined the vision, learning and optimization (VLO) group to work on heart activation sequence reconstruction from ECG signals. In particular he works on solving the problem of robustly finding the so called earliest activation sides in the heart which play an important role for the physiological contraction of the heart muscle.

The main focus of his research involves neural networks in combination with the Eikonal equation to model the excitation wavefront on the heart surface.
