We are pleased to announce that Denis Kalkofen has been promoted to full professor as of October 1st, 2025!
Denis received his Master from the University of Magdeburg in 2004, and his PhD (2009) and Habilitation(2022) from Graz University of Technology. Before his current position, he served as an Associate Professor at Flinders University in Australia.
His research focuses on developing visualization, interaction, authoring, and display technologies for Virtual and Mixed Reality environments. He is particularly interested in combining computer graphics, human–computer interaction, and computer vision to create comprehensible and easily accessible Mixed Reality experiences.
