Michael Stolz

Dipl.-Ing. Dr.techn.

After earning a M.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering, I spent ten years in the automotive industry as a Development Engineer, including one year as a Skill Team Leader in the field of automated driving.I later completed my Ph.D. in control engineering at Graz University of Technology, Austria. Currently, I work as a postdoctoral project assistant in the Multi-Sensor Perception Team led by Prof. Daniel Watzenig at the Institute of Visual Computing, Graz University of Technology.

Additional Information

In parallel, I serve as a Key Researcher at Virtual Vehicle Research GmbH. Previously, I coordinated and led several nationally and EU-funded research projects (FFG, K2, ECSEL JU). I am also involved in the supervision and mentoring of graduate students. My research interests include autonomous systems, robotics, optimization, modeling, control, and reinforcement learning.
