This research group is pioneering the development of cutting-edge technologies at the intersection of Augmented Reality (AR), Internet of Things (IoT), and novel hardware design, pushing the boundaries of immersive and interconnected experiences. Our work focuses on creating seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor environments, leveraging advanced sensing, processing, and display technologies. We are developing innovative hardware platforms tailored to specific AR/IoT applications, enabling real-time data integration and intuitive user interactions. We also target new areas in the biomedical domain, building sensor prototypes for various biomedical applications. Our research spans a wide spectrum, from advanced sensor networks for precise environmental mapping and object recognition to novel display systems for enhanced AR visualization in diverse lighting conditions. By integrating robust IoT infrastructure with sophisticated AR algorithms, we aim to deliver context-aware and personalized experiences that blur the lines between physical and digital realities. The group is committed to pushing the frontiers of AR/IoT technology, with a strong emphasis on publishable research outputs, as evidenced by our successful track record of bachelor and master thesis publications.
