The Accelerated Computing for Content Generation and Real-time Rendering Group, led by Markus Steinberger, explores the frontiers of parallel and distributed computing for computer graphics. With a strong foundation in GPU programming and real-time rendering, the group advances efficiency-driven approaches in neural scene representations—most notably Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs) and 3D Gaussian Splatting—alongside content generation via diffusion models and procedural techniques. Their research also extends to scalable, distributed real-time rendering, bridging the gap between machine learning, geometry processing, and high-performance graphics.
